We predominantly work with women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse.

Barnet DVAAS is a diverse provision providing support and advocacy to female and male victims/survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence from all levels of risk. We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and qualified IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) with at least 2 year’s qualified experience to join our service.

The role of an IDVA is to provide a proactive service to victims/survivors identified as experiencing domestic abuse, inclusive of sexual violence and Harmful Practices, within a co-location setting. As well as providing crises intervention and advocacy support within a multi-agency approach, the IDVA will also be responsible for the awareness raising and training of partner agencies on Domestic Abuse.

SALARY: Starting from £25,500 (qualified IDVA)

HOURS: 37.5 hours

CONTRACT: Permanent
