Solace Women’s Aid is an innovative, exciting and friendly organisation run by a staff team who are passionate about bringing an end to domestic and sexual violence and abuse. We predominantly work with women and children and provide support to more than 11,000 survivors annually, helping them achieve independent lives free from abuse.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Facilities and Health and Safety Assistant to work within our Resources Team which is based in North London. It is an exciting and varied role with a range of duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the provision of a safe and effective office and housing environment.

Main areas of responsibility are to provide administrative support for Health and Safety checks, support with maintenance programmes and general facilities management. Candidates should have a good understanding for Health and Safety and Fire Precaution procedures and able to keep accurate and timely records.


You will be on Solace’s salary band 2.1 with a salary range of £20,000 to £22,000 (pro-rata salary range of £12,000 to £13,200) depending on experience.

Other benefits include 25 days of annual leave (pro-rata 15 days) rising to a maximum of 30 days (pro-rata 18 days) per annum, season ticket loans, cycle to work scheme and a 3% matched contribution of the Solace stakeholder pension scheme.

HOURS: 22.5 hours per week
