Solace Women’s Aid works with women and children affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. We work in a holistic and empowering way enabling service users to live independent lives.

We are looking for an experienced group worker to join our Advocacy and Support Services in Enfield and Haringey, working with women living in the community.  You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

You will need a thorough understanding of the dynamics and effects of domestic and sexual violence and have practical experience of supporting service users in group settings.

You will have the skills to design and deliver group work to a diverse group of service users. You should have a minimum of two years’ experience of working in a group worker position with this or a similar client group.

SALARY:

You will be on Solace’s salary band 3.

Qualified applicants (with an accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification) dependent on experience: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum

Unqualified applicants, dependent on experience: £22,000- £24,000 per annum with the potential to gain a qualification and move to the qualified band.

HOURS: 22 hours per week

CONTRACT:  Permanent
