Solace Women’s Aid exists to bring an end to the harm caused by domestic and sexual violence to all survivors and in particular women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to manage 5 refuges across Islington & Haringey and a floating support service in Haringey.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, demonstrable understanding of all forms of VAWG and of providing emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence both in refuge settings and the community.

You will be responsible for leading a staff team of approximately seven plus volunteers across six sites. You will be directly managing three staff members. You will need direct experience of managing  refuge provision, operational experience of need and risk assessment tools and the ability to provide leadership and direction. The post offers opportunity for training and development although a minimum of two years management experience is needed for this role.

SALARY:  Solace Band 6b: Salary £35-£36,000 per annum depending on experience.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. You are also required to take part in the on-call rota and are paid separately for this.

CONTRACT:  Permanent
