Solace Women’s Aid is dedicated to providing a full range of services for women and their children, enabling them to live lives free from domestic and sexual violence. Our Therapeutic Unit coordinates referrals for the Ascent Counselling Project, supporting women who have experienced or are living with domestic and/or sexual violence.

We are recruiting for an experienced Counsellor to deliver therapeutic sessions for women in the borough of Lambeth.

For all roles you must be registered with either BACP or UKCP and accredited or working towards accreditation. Clinical supervision and CPD will be provided.

You will need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of VAWG (violence against women and girls) and the issues women face, along with evidence of working with women and an understanding of their needs. Excellent communication and empathy skills are paramount. An ability to think on your feet and adapt to the needs of the client in terms of therapeutic and clinical risk intervention is essential.

This is a self-employed position. To provide a day’s counselling per week in Lambeth. Project funded until end March 2021.

SALARY: £130 per day

CONTRACT: Fixed term
