Solace Women’s Aid works with women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. We work in a holistic and empowering way enabling service users to live independent lives. We are looking to appoint two part time workers to work within our complex needs service:

Specialist Refuge Worker

You will work within a small multi-disciplinary team supporting 8 women in a Complex Needs refuge. We are looking to appoint someone with extensive experience of working with vulnerable people, some of which will have been with women affected by domestic and/or sexual violence. The person we are looking for will also have experience of residential provision and operational experience of need and risk assessment tools. Practical experience of supporting service users with mental health concerns and /or who use substances problematically and/or dual diagnosis would be ideal.

SALARY:

Qualified applicants (with an accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification/ dependent on experience): £26,000 – 28,500 per annum

Unqualified applicants, dependent on experience: £24,500 – £25,500 per annum with the potential to gain a qualification and move to the qualified band.

HOURS: 22.5 hours per week.

Complex Needs Outreach Worker

Our Complex Needs and Domestic Violence Outreach Worker will be based at our specialist Complex Needs Refuge in North London but will work in partnership with other Solace refuge services and external agencies. The main purpose of this role is to ensure Solace achieves excellent standards in services for women with complex needs who are also affected by domestic abuse.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people, in particular women affected by domestic/sexual violence, substance misuse and mental health issues. In addition, she must have experience of multi-agency partnership working. As well as having excellent casework skills, the successful candidate must be able and willing to travel across London.

SALARY:

Qualified applicants (with an accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification/ dependent on experience): £26,000 – 28,500 per annum

Unqualified applicants, dependent on experience: £24,500 – £25,500 per annum with the potential to gain a qualification and move to the qualified band. .

Only relevant domestic abuse qualifications considered.

HOURS: 22.5 hours per week.

CONTRACT: Fixed term until July 2018 (maternity cover)
