Solace Spring Round-Up

Spring cleaning and seed sewing, check out how Solace is moving into Summer and how you can get involved!

Here at Solace we’ve embraced the season of renewal and welcomed many changes: new events, new staff, new partners and new opportunities to get involved. But this season has not been without its challenges.

This Summer everyone faces new restrictions from the increased cost of living, and for the people we help, it has made it even harder to escape their perpetrators. We are so thankful for your continued support and hope that you can join us this Summer in supporting our campaigns against violence.

We’re delighted to welcome Poppy to the Fundraising Team as Corporate Partnership Manager

It is an exciting time in corporate fundraising as we grow and strengthen the Solace corporate network – a network committed to a world where everyone is able to live safe and independent lives which are free from gender-based violence, abuse and exploitation.

We know that working together in innovative ways provides long-lasting benefits for our beneficiaries and through almost 50 years of specialist operations Solace has many exciting partnership and collaboration opportunities to offer. If you would like to explore how your organisation can support Solace, please contact Poppy at fundrasing@solacewomensaid.org.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to the amazing teams of volunteers from Goldman Sachs and Wella who each took a day away from the office to pick up paintbrushes and renovate Solace refuge sites around London. Our corporate volunteers are essential to ensuring that our refuges are homes; a safe, happy place for women and children to recover from domestic abuse and we are grateful for their support.

Keep a look out for some more amazing transformations from our corporate partners!

Will you become Solace Life-changer by giving a regular monthly donation to end violence against women and girls?

Solace are so grateful for all you’ve done to support women and girls in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. But the emergency isn’t over. Solace has seen a sustained rise to calls to our free advice line from women facing and fleeing abuse, stretching resources like never before.  That’s why your ongoing support is so desperately needed.

Make a regular monthly gift today

Your regular monthly donation will mean Solace can confidently plan for the future, knowing that we can be there for every woman and girl who needs us.  Your donation will go to where it’s most needed, but as an example, a monthly donation of £12 means we could help 12 women facing abuse every year get emergency advice through our helpline. Your support really is life-changing.

Become a Solace life-changer today

On behalf of the 23,000 women and girls Solace support every year,  thank you for considering making an even bigger difference.
