Solace Newsletter – September 2024

A message from one of the women in our refuges

“Dear Solace Team, thank you for being so supportive when I needed it most. For anyone in a similar position, I would recommend coming to a refuge. They will give you a place you can be yourself, and help you build emotional strength and confidence, rebuild your foundation and be able to start looking people in the eye again.”

Your support means we can continue to provide safe spaces for women to rebuild their lives. Thank you.

October is Make a Will month

Leave a legacy of hope with Solace.

By leaving a gift in your will to Solace Women’s Aid, you can help ensure a future free from domestic abuse for women and children in London. Legacy giving is a powerful way to continue supporting our work beyond your lifetime, providing safety, support, and hope to those who need it most.

October is Make a Will Month, the ideal opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us provide essential services, safe refuge, and healing for future generations.

Join us for Black History Month

Black History Month starts next week and this year the theme is Reclaiming Narratives. It’s a call to action for Black communities across the UK to take control of their own stories and for everyone else to elevate them. Each week, we’ll be sharing how we can honour our heroes, embrace our stories and empower and educate.

Follow along on social media to celebrate with us.
