Solace Newsletter – November 2024

Peer-on-peer abuse—including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, harassment, bullying, and online abuse—is increasingly recognised as a serious concern in schools and beyond.

A 2021 Ofsted report found that 90% of girls and nearly 50% of boys in UK schools had experienced sexual harassment, with many young people feeling such behaviours had become “normalised.” This troubling reality underscores the urgent need for awareness, prevention, and support.

Why Attend?
Whether you work with young people, are a parent, a young person yourself, or you just want to look out for the young people in your life, this event is an invaluable opportunity to deepen your understanding of peer-on-peer abuse and gain practical tools to help create a culture of safety and respect. By amplifying the voices of young people, our goal is to start a wider conversation on how to prevent and address this behaviour. And it’s free!
