No Recourse to Public Funds Specialist Project

The No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Wrap Around project provides support with subsistence, accommodation and immigration advice to women who have experienced recent Domestic Violence/ Sexual Violence (DV/SV) and are destitute. The project is funded by Southall Black Sisters. The funding can support single women for up to 16 weeks, and women with children for up to 6 weeks (until the Local Authority fulfils their duty).

The funding requires a caseworker is actively working with the woman to improve her circumstances for the duration of the funding (i.e immigration status, benefits, housing, employment). 

ELIGIBILITY:

  • From a Solace borough
  • The woman has experienced recent domestic and/or sexual violence, prostitution and/or trafficking and any other form of gender-based violence, including harmful practices
  • The woman has NRPF
  • The woman does not have access to other funds including savings
