Rape Crisis Counselling & Groups

Our Counselling and Groups service includes the following:

  • Pre-trial therapy for women going through the Criminal Justice System (CJS) – up to six sessions of stabilisation and grounding to deal with the immediate impact of trauma
  • Trauma-focused counselling – up to 16 sessions (or 46 sessions for certain clients) of therapy focusing on trauma and healing
  • A range of therapeutic groups including movement therapy, trauma-informed yoga and specific talking therapy groups for survivors of childhood abuse and lesbian and bisexual survivors – currently on hold due to Covid-19.
  • We also have a Safeguarding Hub where we can process potential high-risk referrals – risk of suicide or self-harm, use of alcohol or drugs as coping mechanisms or where there is complex mental health support need – we believe that these issues should not preclude survivors from accessing therapeutic support and the Safeguarding Hub attempts to link survivors into specialist support services to stabilise before accessing full therapy with us.
