I am the Head of Fundraising and Development at Solace, and I am responsible for a team of four. Together, we manage all of Solace’s fundraised income annually. This includes managing fundraising events, working with service managers to prioritise any physical donations that we receive, aligning with our Communications and Public Affairs teams to highlight our awareness campaigns and grow individual support for them, as well as, managing bids for any Solace accommodation or community services. We also work closely with corporate partners to grow support for our work through our partnerships and training offers. We keep up to date with all programmes team members responsible for various frontline-services and projects to insure they are receiving adequate support to deliver quality, service user centred services.
Prior to joining Solace, I have worked in a variety of fundraising rolls across the third sector, most recently with Stonewall the national LGBTQ+ charity as their Associate Director, Partnerships and Philanthropy, as well as Director of Development with a statewide women’s organisation in Texas. I am a career fundraiser with a passion for supporting direct service work that meets people’s needs wherever they are.
