Do you see Maya? I see her #IseeMaya

Thank you to everyone who donated to our 2024 Christmas campaign. Your support saves lives.

We launched our campaign #IseeMaya, by creating a unique decoration, ‘Maya’, who represents all the women who are silenced or vanishing from their social networks and friendship groups due to emotional abuse.

1 in 2 women in the UK are currently experiencing domestic abuse and 1 in 4 women in the UK will face domestic abuse in their lifetime. The signs can be subtle but not completely unseen – unexplained absences, sudden changes in behaviour. During the holidays, victims can seem to vanish, become isolated or are trapped in silence.

Who is Maya

Maya represents the women in our lives who will be experiencing emotional or other forms of abuse this Christmas.

We all know a Maya. We work with her, we’re friends with her, and many of us are her.

This Christmas you can help us see Maya.

Together, we can ensure that the 1 in 2 women in who experience emotional or other forms of abuse are seen this Christmas #IseeMaya.
