HR Administrative Assistant

Some of the tasks of the successful candidate will include:

Group Worker

Solace Advocacy & Support Service (SASS) Southwark

SASS is a high quality advocacy and support service, which provides specialist independent assistance to the residents of Southwark who are affected by domestic and sexual violence. This includes a package of support covering crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning.

The service supports female and male victims of domestic and sexual violence/abuse and is part of Solace Women’s Aid, a London-wide and nationally respected organisation.

A vacancy has arisen in our busy and exciting office for a part time group worker.

The group worker will be responsible to the Training and Development Coordinator and will provide support in delivering the Solace group WRAP model (Women’s Resilience and Awareness Programme). The project consists of drop-in peer support groups and domestic abuse awareness courses, ad hoc workshops and training professionals in domestic abuse awareness. A key aspect of the role will be to facilitate group programmes and complete the administration involved in running groups.

The successful applicant will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women, men and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support through group work to victims of domestic and sexual violence and strong casework management skills. If you have experience of working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, skills in facilitation and a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, then this is a unique opportunity to further develop your skills and career.

Salary: £25, 770 pro rata

Hours: 18 per week
