Solace and Standing Together are now in our third year of running the Westminster Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Housing First service. This learning report shares findings and insights from these three years including the successes and challenges, what has and hasn’t worked and make practical recommendations for service providers and those in strategic roles alike around the key elements involved in ‘doing’ Housing First with women.

The Westminster VAWG Housing First service supports women in Westminster impacted by long term homelessness, VAWG and other forms of multiple disadvantage to access safe, independent housing and intensive, gender responsive support since 2019.
