Earlier this year, officers on patrol arrested a man on suspicion of voyeurism following concerns from women in the Islington area. He has now been convicted.
Josie Holden Wilby, head of operations at Solace, said: “Non-consensual filming is incredibly invasive and threatening, and absolutely a form of abuse in itself. It can take a hugely psychological toll on women and can be used to monitor and control their movements.
“To truly improve women and girls’ safety, there needs to be a wider education piece for men and boys about boundaries, misogyny and what is and is not acceptable behaviour.”
