Andy Burnham has pledged to ‘end rough sleeping in England’ in his first speech as Prime Minister.

Women experiencing rough sleeping do not tend to ‘bed down’ for the night, as men do, and are often rendered invisible in data and practice.
Domestic abuse is the leading cause of women’s homelessness. For Andy Burnham’s focus on prevention to be effective, any discussions must address violence against women and girls.”
